Bethlehem Church

Activities at Bethlehem Church are guided by our Mission and Core Values.

MISSION

Bethlehem Church exists to glorify God by developing devoted followers of Jesus Christ who intentionally pursue Christ-like character in their personal lives, family lives, church community, and world. (Matthew 28:18-20, Colossians 1:28-29)

CORE VALUES

These are foundational to the activities of Bethlehem Church.

  • We value Biblical teaching
    • Effective teaching and modeling of Biblical truth changes us and enables us to live a life of godliness. (John 17:17, Acts 2:42-47)
  • We value prayer
    • Prayer is the foundation for life-changing ministry, our communication with Him and His guiding us. (Acts 2:42, I Thessalonians 5:16-18)
  • We value discipleship
    • Followers of Christ are called to equip one another for faithful service. We follow His perfect example, striving for excellence in all we do to further the Kingdom. It is an activity that guides individuals to become spiritually mature and reproduce passionate and mature followers of Christ. (Luke 9:23, Romans 12, I Corinthians 12, Philippians 2:3-5, Colossians 1:28)
  • We value evangelism
    • Unbelieving people matter to God. Because everyone needs the Savior, our love and concern for people is evidenced in our efforts to reach people next door and around the world. (Acts 2:47, Luke 5:30-32)
  • We value worship
    • Dynamic worship directed to God engages our heart, mind, and emotions. As a result, we live in joyous awareness of His awesome presence. (Psalm 100, Matthew 22:37, Romans 12:1, Hebrews 12:28, Revelation 15:3-4)
  • We value community and family
    • Members of the body of Christ value one another. A healthy family is the foundation of a healthy church. Loving relationships permeate our families and our congregation. As a result, we are united in thought, word and deed. (John 13:34-35, I Timothy 1:5, Hebrews 10:24, I Corinthians 12:2, I Corinthians 13)
  • We value accountability
    • We take responsibility for the growth of other believers as Christians (Hebrews 10:24-25).
