REVEREND KEN SPENCE
Senior Pastor
Pastor Ken was born in Jersey City, NJ. He was raised in Bergenfield, NJ where he graduated from high school and was active in sports and music during his school years. Being raised in a conservative Lutheran home, he developed a high respect for God and scripture, but it was not until he met his wife to be, Joan, that he came to a personal knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ in 1961.
Ken received his undergraduate degree in Economics and Business Administration from Wagner College, Staten Island, NY, in 1965 and then entered the business world, working with a public accounting firm in New York City. After three and a half years, God called him to full time Christian work and he enrolled in Dallas Theological Seminary, completing his Masters of Theology in 1972.
Over the past years, Ken has served as Director of Christian Education in Northern Valley Evangelical Free Church, Cresskill, NJ. He has had senior pastor positions in Acton, MA and Allentown, PA, and most recently has served as the District Superintendent for the Eastern District Association of the Evangelical Free Church of America.
Ken and his wife, Joan, have four children, Michelle, Kenneth, Daniel and Cristy.
