The church was incorporated in 1895 in Dover, New Jersey as a Swedish Free Mission Church. The church was originally located in the center of Dover and moved to the site in Randolph in the early 1960's. In 2006 Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church merged with Bethlehem Church creating the Cornerstone Campus in Morris Township.Initially the congregation was made up of Swedish laborers, farmers and builders. As the community needs changed to suburban living, the congregation added more professional and white collar workers, mirroring the changes in the community. The surrounding rural farms and woodlands have now become a series of developments to provide housing for the largely middle class professional and white collar families.
In the last few years we have experienced a growing ministry and we remain excited to see what the Lord has planned for us in the days to come. From its two Morris County locations, on Route 10 in Randolph and West Hanover Ave. in Morris Township, Bethlehem Church is well-situated to continue to grow, and to connect with the entire Morris County community.
