The Puppet Kidz
of
Bethlehem Church
We’re excited that the ancient art form of puppetry is finding new life with a new generation. Kids love puppets and they don’t want to be limited to enjoying them from the audience! They want to be involved in bringing stories to life through them. We’re amazed that both the timid child and the extrovert are drawn to working with puppets and we’ve been surprised that some of the quietest kids can be incredibly expressive with a puppet in their hands!
The Puppet Kidz of Bethlehem Church is a ministry designed for children in third through sixth grade who are interested in developing basic puppetry skills. Training sessions are five to six weeks in length and are limited to eight to 12 children. The Puppet Kidz meet on Sunday evenings at 5:00 p.m. for one hour. Kids find out how to handle puppets, develop puppetry techniques, learn skits, rehearse and have fun. We currently perform about four times per year, both on campus and at other locations.
We had a great time ministering at Sunrise Assisted Living during Thanksgiving.
