CONCERT BAND 

This band is open to all percussion, woodwind, and brass instrumental students nine years of age and older who have played their instrument for one year or less. This includes beginning music students. Concert Band meets weekly. Students learn and perform standard band and ensemble literature. Students develop their overall musicality including: balance, phrasing, style, and independence of parts. Each student must provide his or her own instrument. Students registering for Concert Band are encouraged to register for a vocal ensemble and are required to enroll in a weekly lesson or instrumental ensemble. Concert Band members must participate in the Spring Concert. Students are expected to practice and learn their Concert Band music during their regular, daily practice time.
