VIOLIN 1

This class is open to students age six and older with less than one year of violin experience. Students learn the basics of violin playing, maintenance, and musicianship. Each student must provide his or her own instrument. All violin students must participate in a Skill Day audition where they demonstrate their skill to FAITH Center faculty. Skill Day results are made available to students. Violin I students must participate in the Spring Concert, and are expected to practice a minimum of 30 minutes per day to prepare for each weekly lesson. Parents are strongly encouraged to participate in the first ten lessons. Students age six to eight should register for Violin IA, those nine and older should register for Violin IB. Maximum class size for Violin 1 is six students.
