WORLD MISSIONS PROGRAM
The Scriptures teach that we are to “make disciples of all nations” (Matt. 28:19, 20). This is accomplished as believers fulfill their role as ambassadors of Christ (II Cor. 5:20) and as local churches recruit, train, and send some of their constituency into the world (Rom. 10:13-15). The goal of our missions and evangelism effort is to win individuals to the Lord, equip them in the faith, and establish churches that have the same aim in every tribe, tongue, people, and nation (Acts 14:21-23, Rev. 5:9). The Missions & Evangelism Council seeks to guide Bethlehem Church in light of this Purpose Statement.
Bethlehem Church supports 33 active missionaries in 17 countries through prayer, communication, special projects, and financial assistance (with an annual budget of approximately $200,000).
SHORT-TERM MISSIONS
Bethlehem Church has an active short-term program that offers a variety of classes to train and support church family members interested in participating in local, national, and international ministry. We provide a range of opportunities for local, national and world short-term missions. Typical Short-Term Missions include:
- Music Instruction and Construction Project trip to Brazil
- A week working with a needy church in Brooklyn
- Medical missions trips to Africa
- Construction and VBS projects in Honduras
MISSIONS CONFERENCES
Our weeklong World Evangelism Conference held in March and World Evangelism Weekends in June and October focus on a global vision for missions outreach. The conferences include special speakers, workshops, a missions exposition, and an opportunity for the church family to participate in the Faith Promise Giving program. Please don’t miss these opportunities to see more about what our missionaries are doing in the field, and how YOU can help!
