How to use this website (www.bethlehemchurch.org).
Bethlehemchurch.org is a very large, informative, and interactive website. There are many features available on this site that may not be available on many of the websites you visit often. This article is intended to help guide you through some of the many features of BethlehemChurch.org.
Overhead Navigational Bar
The Overhead Navigational Bar is located directly below the site's banners. You may notice that throughout the site, the banner images, colors, and left hand navigational items change according to what ministry section you are viewing. The Overhead Navigational Bar always remains the same. This will allow you to get to any of the links listed on the it from every page of the entire site.
Search Box
The Search Box exists inside of the Overhead Navigational Bar. To search for something on Bethlehemchurch.org, click inside of the Search Box (where it says "search...") and type in the word or phrase you are searching for. To search for a phrase such as special needs, you should place the words in quotes: "Special Needs". Then press "Enter" on your keyboard. A listing of all pages containing the word or phrase of your search will appear with links to the pages. Click the link to get to the page you are seeking.
If you would like to narrow your search even more after your initail search, use the "Exclude Section" form to the left of the search page and re-search using the button on the left labeled "Refine Search".
Breadcrumbs
The Breadcrumbs are located driectly below the Overhead Navigational Bar and are used to tell you where in the site you currently are and where that page is in relation to the rest of the website. For example, you may see a breadcrumb that looks like:

Which means you are on the Photo Galleries page of the Youth Ministry section of the site. You can use the breadcrumbs to retrace your steps.
Left-Hand Navigation
The Left-Hand Navigation is found to the left of the page on all of the pages of Bethlehemchurch.org (*the only exception is the homepage). This navigation changes depending on where you are in the site and has link to pages relevant to the section of the site you are on. For instance, on the Children's section of the site the navigation has links to pages about Boy's Brigade, Pioneer Girls, Vacation Bible School, etc.
Wide and Slim buttons
Because alot of website users have different resolutions, or widths, that they like to set their computer screens to, bethlehemchurch.org has incorporated a small set of buttons (found at the buttom of the page) to allow you to view the site wider or slimmer, depending on your preferance. These buttons look like

. Clicking on the larger one will increase the width of the site and clicking the smaller one will shrink the page. This will affect every page you visit and the setting will be remebered when you revisit the site. You only need to click the button once to change the entire site's width.
Emergency Alert
The Emergency Alert is a box placed on the homepage (http://www.bethlehemchurch.org) when a vital piece of information needs to be prevalent to the congregation of Bethlehem Church. This box will be used mainly for things like service cancelations due to inclement weather. This box will not be shown on the homepage unless there is an emergency.
Ask the Pastor
Ask the Pastor is a special page that allows you to send an e-mail to Pastor Spence asking him a question about Bethlehem Church using a form on the page. Please use this only if you have a legitamate question that is not answered in the FAQ section of the website.
Calendar
The Calendar section of bethlehemchurch.org exists so that you can find out what is happening at Bethlehem Church. It is updated regularly to be as accurate as possible. Inside of the calendar there is a drop-down menu labeled "category". You can use this drop-down menu top filter out events. For example, say you'd like to find out what youth events are happening. You can choose youth from the drop-down menu and it will tell you only the youth schedule.
Sermon and Bulletin Downloads
Under the "Resources" tab you will find links to both Sermon and Bulletin downloads. These downloads are provided for your convenience. The sermons are the weekly Sunday Morning sermons in MP3 format and the Bulletin's are the weekly bulletins in PDF format. The Sermon downloads may be large files depending on the length of the sermon.
Bulletin Boards
Bulletin Boards are placed in many of the ministry sections of the website. They allow you to participate in an online community discussion about topics relating to that ministry. You must register for each bulletin board with a valid e-mail address. You'll see a link called "register" under the bulletin board sections. Click that and follow the simple instructions to register.
Site Map
The site map is an outline of Bethlehemchurch.org in its entirety. If you want to navigate somewhere relatively quickly, use ths site map.
