PROJECT LINUS is now JOPPA'S LOVE

We do not know why Project Linus ended in Morris County, but Bethehem Church will still be giving out handmade blankets to needy people through our own blanket ministry, Joppa's Love.

In Acts 9:36, we read about the town of Joppa whereTabitha lived, a woman "abounding with deeds of kindness and charity which she continually did."

Tabitha, or Dorcas in the Greek, put Joppa on the map and into our Bible because of her testimony for good in her community.  When she fell ill and died, some of the disciples sent to Peter in a nearby town, imploring him to visit Joppa.  Peter came, heard of the good deeds of Tabitha from the women of the town, and "knelt and prayed, and turning to the body, he said, 'Tabitha, arise.'  And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.  And he gave her his hand and raised her up, and calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive.  It became known all over Joppa, and many believed in the Lord."

May the women of Bethelehem Church continue to use our talents and gifts in all ways to further the message of God's goodness to others.
